Mgr inż. Emila Brancewicz-Steinmetz carries out her research project at the TUL Interdisciplinary Doctoral School, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. She is supervised by dr hab. inż. Jacek Sawicki, TUL professor, of the Institute of Materials Engineering.

The talented doctoral candidate's research concentrates around FDM multi-material 3D printing technology, which means that plastic is involved.

As explained by dr hab. inż. Jacek Sawicki, 'The goal is to get the best possible bond strength between two different polymers in relation to the parameters of the print, the layering sequence, surface activation during the print and, above all, the post-print effect of the processing.’
