From the 19th - 21st of October 2022 at Lodz University of Technology, we hosted a SustDesignTex project kick-off meeting for the first time as a coordinator of a Twinning project and welcomed the project partners from RWTH Aachen University (Germany), University of Borås (Sweden), University of Zaragoza (Spain), and Wademekum Company (Poland).

The project Coordinator professor Marcin Barburski welcomed the project partners and consortium participants, and the meeting was officially opened by the Vice-rector of Lodz University of Technology, prof. dr hab. Eng. Paweł Strumiłło.

During the two days of the meeting, all project partners had a chance to present their organizations and the facilities they have to collaborate and realize the SustDesignTex project. Moreover, we had a detailed discussion on the project work packages, tasks, deliverables, way of communication and dissemination, data management, finance, short- and long-term visits, conferences, workshops, areas of research, and many more exciting and interesting topics were raised.

At the end of the fruitful and thrilling days of the meeting, the project partners were able to visit the Museum of the City of Lodz (Izrael Poznański’s palace from the XIX century) and attend the dinner gala organized by the project coordinator.

At the dinner gala, we were lucky enough to be joined by the Rector of the Lodz University of Technology, prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, who also welcomed the project partners to the Lodz University of Technology and congratulated all partners for obtaining the EU grant, and assured us His consistent support during the realization of the project.

Thanks to the courtesy of the dean of the Faculty of Chemical, prof. Małgorzata Iwona Szynkowska-Jóźwik, we had the opportunity to organize a kick-off meeting in the beautiful hall of the Alchemium building.

The project partners also had a chance to visit the laboratories of the Faculty of Material Technologies and Textile Design. Here are some pictures from the event. Stay stunned for more exciting news!
