'Cooperation between Lodz University of Technology and the local government of the Łódzkie Voivodeship is extremely important, as it facilitates the process of aligning academic potential with the needs of the region. This synergy makes it possible to better adapt research to the challenges the region faces and its socio-economic needs. The partnership also fosters the retention of young, talented researchers in the region, which is important for its long-term development,' stressed ISD director, Agnieszka Ruppert, TUL professor.

The Interdisciplinary Doctoral School at Lodz University of Technology has been offering its innovative approach to doctoral training for five years now. An original model of teaching in English has been introduced. It allows for personalization of the training as it is flexible and tailored to the individual needs and interests of doctoral candidates. The ISD curriculum is geared towards interdisciplinarity, flexibility, and internationalization to ensure well-rounded scientific and personal development of doctoral candidates.
This innovative training model was developed in response to the internal and global challenges facing the university and the region of Łódź. Lodz University of Technology Interdisciplinary Doctoral School attracts students, researchers, and investors interested in cooperation. Its activity is perfectly aligned with the coherent plan of related and well-thought-out actions set out in the Strategy for the Development of the Łódzkie Voivodeship 2030.
