Lodz University of Technology has earned a place among the prestigious Top-100 European leaders in engineering education, as highlighted by the latest EngiRank European Ranking of Engineering Studies, published on October 29 in Brussels. This ranking reinforces TUL’s stature as one of Europe’s foremost institutions in engineering education.

The EngiRank list includes 226 universities from 27 EU countries, Switzerland, and Norway, with 21 technical universities represented from Poland alone. Created by the Perspektywy Education Foundation in partnership with Elsevier, EngiRank evaluates universities through a comprehensive set of criteria, including research publications, citations, Erasmus+ and Horizon project participation, collaborations with industry, patents, and contributions toward sustainable development and engineering accreditations.

Lodz University of Technology: among the highest-ranking Polish universities of technology

Among the Polish institutions, AGH University of Science and Technology achieved the highest ranking (48th). Lodz University of Technology was ranked 96th, ex aequo with Poznan University of Technology. TUL also excelled in specific subject areas, ranking well in four of the seven categories:

  • 3rd place in chemical engineering and mechanical engineering,
  • 4th place in materials engineering,
  • 5th place in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, and information engineering.

Other areas ranked were civil engineering, environmental engineering, and medical engineering.

The Technical University of Denmark, Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, and KU Leuven in Belgium maintained their positions at the top of the ranking.
