The Faculty of Organization and Management (OiZ), in its capacity as a partner in the project Industry Skills Center for Logistics in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, will be involved in an endeavor, whose budget is 12 million złoty, intended to introduce a new institution into the ecosystem of education. Its official launch is scheduled for January 2025.

The funding was obtained in the competition Utworzenie i wsparcie funkcjonowania 120 branżowych centrów umiejętności (BCU), realizujących koncepcję centrów doskonałości zawodowej (CoVEs) [Establishment and development of 120 industry skills centers (BCUs) implementing the idea of centers of vocational excellence (CoVEs)], supported by European funds under the Krajowy Plan Odbudowy i Zwiększania Odporności (KPO) [National Recovery and Resilience Plan]. It was granted to the Grodzisk Starost Office that supervises the Technical and General Secondary School Complex No. 2 in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, a school that provides vocational training.

The new establishment is to ensure that there is qualified personnel to meet the needs of a modern economy. The project will be completed in partnership with Związek Pracodawców LODZistics - Logistyczna Sieć Biznesowa Polski Centralnej [Employers Union LODZistics - Logistic Business Network of Central Poland], Centralny Port Komunikacyjny Sp.z o. o. [Solidarity Transport Hub], Welcome Airport Services Sp. z o. o., and Lodz University of Technology Faculty of Management Organization.

The Industry Skills Center will offer young people and adults opportunities to upskill as well as to reskill. The facility will not only offer logistics education and training, but also facilitate cooperation between schools, universities, and employers. Furthermore, it will engage in other innovative, capacity-building, and consulting activities. It will be located in the new wing of the Vocational Training Center headquarters, built specifically for this purpose.
