The Masters of Didactics are a large group of academic teachers who are particularly keen on innovation in education. One of their recent meetings concerned a discussion on the tutoring model at Lodz University of Technology. Its main goal was the need to develop this method of collaboration between lecturers and students.

As a result of the discussion, it was decided to put three concepts into practice:

  • peer tutoring – a strategy in which students provide academic assistance to their peers or younger students with learning difficulties,
  • expert/scientific tutoring – addressed primarily to senior students with already defined academic plans and who wish to develop their skills and knowledge in a particular direction,
  • induction tutoring – helpful in bridging the gap between the secondary and academic education systems.

As you can see, the new academic year brings new challenges to make studying at Lodz University of Technology even more attractive.
The Masters of Didactics meeting was chaired by Adrianna Kozłowska, M.A, director of the TUL Centre for Teaching and Learning.
