Before the academic year officially began, the international students were invited to an onboarding and integration meeting at the International Cooperation Centre. During this session, they received essential information to help them adjust to life in a country with a different culture and to ease their transition into academic life. In the IFE spaces, students took part in games and activities, accompanied by music, and met their mentors – senior international students who will guide and support them throughout their first year, helping them feel at home in their new environment.
The International Cooperation Centre's efforts once again boosted interest from foreign applicants, attracting as many as 689 students from 63 countries. Out of those who met the admission criteria, nearly 200 successfully submitted their documents, setting a record for admitted international students. This represents a nearly 70% increase compared to the previous year. Were it not for the complex visa situation, which impacted international admissions process at universities nationwide, the number of foreign students at TUL would have been even higher. Further 80 international candidates, who successfully completed the admissions process, have expressed their desire to begin their studies with us.
Now, their academic journey is in their hands! We wish them great success and hope they enjoy their time studying at Lodz University of Technology.
