The Council represents the Future Industry Platform established by the 2019 Act in our region. It is intended to guide development and support the digital transformation of businesses. Its activities are intended to build the competitiveness of the economy, inevitable in the era of Industry 4.0. Krzysztof Ciecióra, undersecretary of state in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and former deputy governor of Lodz, became the head of the 15-person Council.

Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik talks about the tasks of the Lodz Regional Council of the Industry of the Future and the role of TUL:

- The Council is an advisory body to support development in the areas identified by the Future Industry Platform, selecting those most appropriate for the region. The main tasks for the Lodz region are related to the broadly understood digitization and robotization of enterprises. At the same time, we must remember, especially now that there is a war going on across our border, that these kinds of activities require cyber security. I see this as a very important area for us as well.

All the tasks and directions that the Council will indicate must be grounded in the possibilities and traditions of the region. We also think of its even development, one that concerns not only Lodz, but also its satellite towns. The industry must be dispersed and provide jobs as close to where you live as possible.

The role of Lodz University of Technology will be not only to identify development trends in various areas of industry, but also to provide the needs for the preparation of quality personnel.

The Lodz Regional Council of the Industry of the Future will develop guidelines for entrepreneurs and in cooperation with the Industry of the Future Platform, indicate possibilities for applying for funds. In order to develop the best solutions, it will be important to cooperate with entrepreneurs, government and science, so that we do not rely only on buying licenses, but also on potential development opportunities that we create.

The Future Industry Platform provides a "set of products" from which we are to select those most useful to entrepreneurs in our region. In this set are financial instruments, training instruments, or instruments that support management activities.
