Transformative educational experience
The EQ Summer School and EQ Leadership Academy offered two intensive, week-long programs that seamlessly blended lectures, workshops, and interactive discussions. The sessions provided participants with a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of emotional intelligence, explore its critical role in academic life, and generate innovative ideas for fostering equality, tolerance, and respect for diversity within universities. Additionally, the training sessions featured the testing of the EQUNI board game, a project initiative designed to enhance these concepts further. Esteemed university experts and professionals from the coaching companies Team Coaching and SumFuo led the sessions, ensuring a rich and impactful learning experience.

Project Team meeting
An on-site project team meeting also took place, where partners reviewed the activities completed so far and discussed plans for the future.

International cooperation and new skills
The events provided more than just learning opportunities; they also facilitated international connections and networking on both individual and institutional levels. Participants returned to their home countries with enhanced skills, enabling them to better manage their emotions, collaborate more effectively in diverse teams, and promote equality and inclusion within their institutions.

Impact of the EQUNI project
‘The EQUNI project is an essential initiative for our university’, emphasizes dr inż. Dorota Piotrowska, University professor and the project manager. ‘In our increasingly globalized and diverse world, the ability to understand and manage both our own emotions and those of others is becoming indispensable. At our university, where individuals from various cultures and backgrounds converge, a high level of emotional intelligence fosters an environment where everyone feels accepted and respected, regardless of who they are, where they come from, or what beliefs they hold.’

Field Activities
The training concluded with some enjoyable field activities. Participants had the chance to explore the stunning Algarve countryside, relax on beautiful beaches, marvel at dramatic cliffs, and soak up the sun.
