Professor Łukasz Albrecht, Vice-Rector for Science, who chaired the Research Week program coordination team, told us, Our goal in organizing this event was to draw our community and academic environment into the world of our research, and to show students and young researchers the potential pathways to conducting research, winning grants, and gaining skills useful in publishing and commercializing their research output.
Among the speakers were doctoral students from the TUL Interdisciplinary Doctoral School and young researchers, winners of the first edition of the competition to support the advancement of their skills, as well as researchers who under the LEADER program have already formed their research teams.
Specialists from organizations that provide research funding as well as scientists involved in international cooperation also shared their knowledge. Each day offered an opportunity to visit the open laboratories, learn about their research capacity and the instruments available there.
In the opinion of professor Łukasz Albrecht, Research Week was an unprecedented endeavor. The 5 inspiring days are likely to spawn further collaborative initiatives and spark interdisciplinary cooperation.
Alchemium Building was the main venue.
