Two-thirds of the world's population is expected to live in urban areas in 2050. The total number of kilometers traveled in cities will triple from the current situation, and more than 17% of the planet's biological potential will be used for urban mobility. Meeting the growing demand for the mobility of people and goods in urban areas through infrastructure expansion alone will no longer be possible.

In response to these needs, Lodz University of Technology offers Future Mobilty second-cycle studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the International Faculty of Engineering (IFE). In the words of Assoc. Prof. Damian Batory, chairman of field of study council:

This new and interdisciplinary course of study is Lodz University of Technology's answer to the dynamically changing demand of the mobility market not only in Poland, but also around the world. Its goal is to train specialists in the design, optimization and management of current and future mobility infrastructure in terms of creating new, efficient, safe and environmentally friendly transportation.
