The inauguration of the 2023/2024 academic year will take place on October 2 (Monday) at 12:00 pm at the Artur Rubinstein Lodz Philharmonic Hall - 20/22 Narutowicza Street.
The program of the event will include a speech by Prof. Elżbieta Żądzińska, the Rector of the University of Lodz. Traditionally, there will be a matriculation of newly admitted students and doctoral candidates from each university. The inaugural lecture, entitled "A new look at our planet: from manned spaceflight to Earth observation," will be delivered by cosmonaut and graduate of Lodz University of Technology Slawosz Uznanski, PhD. The event will be highlighted by the Choir of the
University of Music and an artistic performance by students of the Lodz Film School. This will be the first joint inauguration since the public universities formed the Łódź Academic Partnership (LPA) - an organization that aims to consistently strengthen mutual cooperation for the benefit of the academic community, as well as our city, province and all current and potential partners at home, and abroad.
