This year, Lodz University of Technology has 325 volunteers, including the university's authorities. This weekend in Manufaktura we will all be raising money for equipment for diagnosing and treating children's eyesight.

As in previous years, students from the TUL Public Secondary School have become involved in raising money for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.

On Saturday and Sunday in Manufaktura you will be able to see ecological vehicles constructed by TUL students. The Lodz Solar Team and Iron Warriors will present their three cars. Students from the Nano Research Club from the Faculty of Chemistry will have chemical demonstrations for children. The organisers of the European Academic Games - EUG 2022, which in July will be the biggest academic sporting event in Poland, will also have their own promotional stand. TUL is a co-organiser of the event.

An auction has been launched on Allegro, where you can win a dinner cooking session with the rector of TUL. Cooking is one of the many passions of Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, who enjoys putting together different flavours and savouring the dishes he has prepared.

I love creating new flavours, recreating dishes that I have had the opportunity to taste during numerous foreign trips. I have a few signature dishes,"– assures the TUL rector and adds: – Let's have something to eat together, because I believe that nothing unites us more than feasting together, let alone cooking dinner!

The cooking session will be held in the historic kitchen at the TUL Rectorate. This will be possible when the epidemic situation in the country has improved and all activities will go back on track in accordance with safety rules. The original menu will also be decided at that time. The winner of the auction will additionally receive an apron dedicated to this event. Link to the auction on Allegro.

The 30th Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity takes place under the motto: "See the light. To ensure the highest standards of diagnostics and treatment of sight in children". Last year, the Great Orchestra staff at TUL raised nearly 300 thousand PLN for equipment with a heart.
