This is an important distinction for the University and the entire chemical community in Poland. Nomination of Prof. Albrecht will enable more active participation of Polish scientists in international projects and initiatives of IUPAC and in work on the development and standardization of chemistry in the world.

Prof. Łukasz Albrecht has significant scientific achievements and extensive experience in international cooperation. As a representative of Poland in the Faculty of Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry, he will support cooperation between IUPAC and Polish scientific centers, contributing to increasing the visibility of Polish chemistry in the international arena. He will also represent the Polish chemical community in the work on the unification of chemical nomenclature and terminology.

The newly appointed representatives come from different parts of the world and represent different fields of chemistry. I am glad that thanks to this function I can participate in the activities of IUPAC for the development and popularization of chemical sciences
