Five days of seminars, lectures, visits to laboratories and discussions with experts who support scientists in their research work. This is the first time that TUL has created this type of platform where you can to explore opportunities for research and international cooperation, both of which are of crucial import for scientists, prof. Lukasz Albrecht, Vice-Rector for Science at TUL, explains. The primary venue of the event is the ‘Alchemium’ building, home to TUL’s Faculty of Chemistry.

The week-long event will start with the inaugural lecture on the economic transformation in the postcovid era, delivered by prof. Jerzy Hausner. In the following days, the most talented students – beneficiaries of E2TOP program, as well as young doctoral students from TUL’s Interdisciplinary Doctoral School will present their research achievements.

Research Week is also a good opportunity to showcase the latest research projects carried out at the TUL and financed by the European Union. It is worth remembering that Lodz University of Technology is a leader in the Horizon Europe scheme. TUL is currently carrying out 11 international projects the total worth of which is €3.75 million. TUL’s proposals success rate is 27.8 percent, and is much higher than the average across the EU. It is within the framework of this funding scheme that our scientists are conducting a number of innovative projects aligned with the goals of sustainable development.

The meetings with experts, advisors from, among others, the National Center for Research and Development, the National Science Center, and the Foundation for Polish Science, will provide information about research funding opportunities, discuss advantages of internationalization, and feature inspiring lectures and talks by leading researchers. Attendees may start new collaborations, as well as participate in many interesting workshops.

The world of research is a fascinating one. Science has the potential to improve our lives. It facilitates the advancement of civilization and opens up new opportunities. Take part in the Research Week to find out for yourself," prof. Lukasz Albrecht said inviting all to the event.
