Dr hab. Eng. Andrzej Marcinkowski is a specialist in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), whose research focuses on energy efficiency, industrial symbiosis, and sustainable technologies. His significant achievements include the expansion of analytical frameworks to encompass issues that have received limited attention in the scientific literature, such as the impact of noise on human health and the integration of environmental and economic indicators for technology decision-making. Between 2020 and 2025, the scientist developed practical decision-making foundations for the decarbonisation of HVAC systems and the energy transformation of buildings, demonstrating the high potential for reducing environmental burden through evaporative systems and ground heat exchangers.
Research Profile and Interests
Prof. Marcinkowski's research is interdisciplinary, combining management sciences with process and environmental engineering. The scientist develops comparative tools supporting sustainable energy, construction, and infrastructure, with an emphasis on carbon footprint analysis and resource efficiency. In his current research plans, he focuses on the environmental and economic analysis of air conditioning systems and the study of the influence of cultural and sectoral factors on ESG reporting practices.
