Scientific achievements
Dr. Katarzyna Piasecka (formerly Koter) of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Lodz University of Technology is an outstanding young specialist in the field of medical and rehabilitation robotics. The results of her research have been published in 11 JCR-indexed articles and presented at 7 international conferences. She is the co-author of 7 patents for inventions in the field of rehabilitation and diagnostic devices.
Research profile and research directions
Her research interests include medical robotics, rehabilitation devices, and pneumatic artificial muscles. The originality of her research has been confirmed by her co-authorship of seven patents. She publishes her findings in prestigious JCR-listed journals. She has actively participated in national research and development projects funded by the National Center for Research and Development (NCBR), covering rehabilitation technologies, robotics, and medical devices. She is a recipient of the Lider XV program, which enabled her to carry out the project “Diagnostic System for Knee Joint Examination”.
Honours and recognition from the scientific community
As part of international cooperation, she was invited to participate in IAESTE research internships, including at the University of Macau, Faculty of Science and Technology, China; the University of Tokyo, Department of Precision Engineering, Japan. She also participated in international workshops and study visits carried out in collaboration with academic centres in Europe and Asia.
