Scientific achievements
Krzysztof Grudzień, DSc, PhD, Eng., Professor at Lodz University of Technology, is a researcher at the Institute of Applied Computer Science whose work is positioned at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Artificial Intelligence, and Interactive Health Technologies. He is the author and co-author of more than 120 scientific publications, including papers presented at leading conferences organised by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) in the fields of interaction design, wearable technologies, and health-support systems.
Reseaarch profile and directions
His research focuses on the design and evaluation of interactive systems supporting healthcare, rehabilitation, therapy, and user well-being. His work encompasses wearable technologies, physiological monitoring, biofeedback, embodied interaction, and the application of artificial intelligence methods to biomedical data analysis. Among his most significant achievements is the development of intelligent health technologies that support health monitoring, rehabilitation, and the active and independent functioning of users. He has participated in and led research activities within numerous projects funded by the National Science Centre (NCN), the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR), the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the European Union. He currently leads research and development activities focused on advancing cardiovascular event prediction systems that utilise artificial intelligence algorithms and data from wearable devices integrated with telecare systems.

His scientific activity has been recognized through numerous scholarships and awards. His research and inventive achievements have received multiple distinctions at national and international innovation competitions and exhibitions. He actively contributes to the international scientific community and collaborates with research institutions in Poland and abroad. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Polish Information Processing Society (PIPS).
