Scientific achievements
Radosław Wajman, DSc, Eng., Associate Professor at Lodz University of Technology, specialises in technical computer science, artificial intelligence, and non-invasive diagnostic systems. He has co-authored more than 100 publications and developed methods for tomographic identification, modeling, and intelligent control of complex processes. He applies this expertise to medical diagnostics, telecare, and elderly care. His research has been implemented in industrial and medical solutions. He is a co-inventor of an EU patent and co-creator of the intelliFlowControl system.
Research profile and research directions
His research combines physiological process modelling, biomedical data analysis, machine learning, data fusion, and non-invasive diagnostics. Drawing on his experience in PT, he develops intelligent medical technologies. His current work focuses on monitoring children’s urinary tract using USG. He develops physiological models, synthetic datasets, and predictive models to support clinical decision-making and reduce the need for painful and psychologically distressing urodynamic examinations. His research also covers biomedical time-series analysis, cardiovascular event prediction, telecare, and technologies that support independent living among older adults.
Honours and recognition from the scientific community
He has received the Medal of the KEN, the Bronze Medal for Long Service, and a scholarship from the Minister of Science for outstanding young researchers. The solutions he co-developed have received more than 20 awards, medals, and distinctions at international innovation exhibitions. He is a member of the ISIPT (Tomography) and the PTI. He also serves on the Board of the Polish Process Tomography Society and the Scientific Committee of the IIPhD Workshop. He acts as a reviewer for international scientific journals. He has twice received the Best Academic Teacher Award from the Faculty Student Council.
