Classical music concerts have a nearly 35-year tradition at Lodz University of Technology. The cycle "Music at Lodz University of Technology" was inaugurated in 1992 on the initiative of Prof. Jan Krysiński - the rector of Lodz University of Technology at that time.
In the Mirror Hall in the building of the Faculty of Management and Production Engineering, outstanding artists have performed, including winners of first places in many international vocal competitions, Yulianna Avdeeva – a Russian pianist, the winner of the first prize in the 2010 Chopin Competition, Piotr Pławner – a winner of the Henryk Wieniawski violin competition, or the particularly talented Dominik Połoński – a cellist, the winner of the first place in the Queen Sofia Competition in Spain.
Their listeners are music lovers not only from Lodz University of Technology, but from the entire academic community of Lodz, employees and students. According to the music critics of our city, this cycle is a well-known musical salon of Lodz.
