For her research and scientific activity, she has been repeatedly awarded. Her scientific achievements have been recognized with gold medals at Invention Exhibitions in Korea, Belgium, Ukraine, Switzerland, Croatia, and Romania. In 2025, she participated in the program Top 1000 Innovators of Poland in Silicon Valley, carried out at Stanford University, the University of California, Berkeley, and the Triple Ring Innovation Center in Palo Alto, where she collaborated in the field of modern technologies for microbiome analysis, probiotics, and functional food. She is a member of the Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS), the Polish Society of Microbiologists, the Polish Society of Food Technologists, and serves on the Editorial Board of the journals Nutrients and International Journal of
Agriculture Sciences.
Research profile and research directions
Her research interests are related to human and animal derived probiotics, prebiotics, and synbiotics. The most important scientific achievements include the selection of probiotic strains according to FAO/WHO and EFSA guidelines, the characterization of prebiotic substances and health promoting preparations, and the evaluation of their effectiveness in clinical studies (on humans, experimental, and farm animals). She also conducts research on the detoxification of harmful substances. Among her most significant application achievements is the industrial implementation of the probiotic preparation Latopic for humans and Lavipan for animals.
Her research results contribute to the development of modern nutritional, biotherapeutic, and biotechnological strategies, strengthening the position of Polish science in the international arena. She has completed numerous scientific and research projects and holds multiple patents and industrial implementations.
