The scientific interests are related to physiology and metabolic activity of microorganisms, biologically active compounds, microbiology of drinking water and beverages, biofilms and effective antibiofilm strategies.
The results of research work are used as innovative methods to create, among others, new bioactive materials for contact with water and food, biopesticides and innovative health-promoting supplements for functional drinks.
She has completed five research internships abroad in Germany, Russia, Serbia and Slovakia, and one six-month industrial internship at a Polish food industry company.
She was the head of research projects financed by the State Committee for Scientific Research, Ministry of Science and Higher Education and National Centre for Research and Development. The main executor in the international project STREP PROJECT NMP3-CT-2003-504937 "PERCERAMICS", member of the Management Committee in the project COST Action FA0907 "BIOFLAVOUR".
Deputy Representative of Poland in the international association of scientific and didactic units and industry ISEKI-Food Association, member of the EQAS Accreditation Committee at the ISEKI-Food Association. External consultant at the FAO / WHO Codex Alimentarius National Contact Point.
For scientific activity and international cooperation, she has been awarded with honorary membership of the National Society of Processing and Energy in Agriculture PTEP (Serbia). She has been granted the Silver Medal for Long Service and the Badge of Merit for Lodz University of Technology.
