Professor Halina Abramczyk (Chemical Sciences, Web of Science Core Collection: h-index -27, no. of publications (2013-2021) – 44, no. of citations for publications from the years 2013-2021 – 1,053. She conducts research on diagnostic methods to detect early cancerous changes using Raman spectroscopy, Raman molecular imaging and femtosecond laser spectroscopy.

Founder and director (since 1992) of the Laboratory of Laser Molecular Spectroscopy at TUL. Professor and head of the Marie Curie Chair in Berlin at the Max Born Institute (2007-2009). Organizer of the European Virtual University on Lasers.

Visiting professor at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas, Madrid, Spain (1989); Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany (1992); the University of Arizona, Tucson, USA (2002-2003); the Max Born Institute, Berlin, Germany (2007-2009); the University of Nairobi, Kenya (2009-2010).

Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Molecular Liquids (since 1992) and Scientific Reports (Nature) since 2018. Board member of the European Molecular Liquids Group scientific association (1992-2015). Member of scientific committees of various (30) international conferences.

Delivered numerous (57) plenary and invited lectures in Poland and abroad.

Received the Fulbright scholarship and was President of the Polish Fulbright Alumni Association (2013-2021).

Author and co-author of over 240 publications, including 140 scientific articles from the JCR list in the field of molecular spectroscopy, laser spectroscopy and biomedical diagnostics.
