This year's admissions to the IDS TUL starts on 29 August (Tuesday). The electronic registration of candidates will close on 7 September (Thursday) together with the acceptance of documents.

Admissions to the doctoral school takes place in an open international competition. Candidates are qualified on the basis of the grade entered in their diploma of second-cycle studies or equivalent, and the grade from the interview conducted by admissions committees specifically appointed by the Rector, appropriate for each discipline, says Dr inż. Monika Nastarowicz from the IDS TUL.

This year, interviews are scheduled from 20 to 27 September. Their outcome consists of substantive assessments on the following topics: motivation and interests and the proposed scope of research; assessment of linguistic competence; evaluation of the candidate's previous academic and/or artistic achievements and accomplishments, and a discussion on this subject. The entire admissions process is carried out in English, with the exception of admissions within the 'Implementation Doctorate’ programme on a fair and transparent basis, allowing candidates from all over the world to participate. The results of the qualification procedure will be published on the website of the IDS TUL on 30 September (Saturday).

The TUL Interdisciplinary Doctoral School implements an original model of education in English, tailored to the individual needs and interests of the doctoral student.

A key direction of ongoing activities at our school is a strong emphasis on interdisciplinarity, flexibility and the internationalisation of education. Thanks to the implementation of a 4-year programme based on the Individual Research Plan, the doctoral student is provided with optimal conditions for scientific and personal development, and for the preparation of the doctoral dissertation under the supervision of a supervisor, adds Dr Nastarowicz.

Details on the admissions rules, schedule and educational pathway are available on the IDS TUL website.
