Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, Rector of TUL, received EUSA's highest award, the EUSA Order of Merit, for his commitment to the development and promotion of academic sport in Europe, in particular for his outstandingly efficient management of the European Universities Games 2022 project. The EUSA Medal of Recognition was also awarded to EUG Games coordinator Dominik Leżański.
The distinctions awarded prove that the tremendous work we have done for the benefit of European academic sport, but also for the promotion of Poland and Lodz, has not only been noticed, but also rewarded, although we were not thinking of awards when we took up this organizational challenge. I am convinced that Lodz University of Technology has been remembered by universities in Europe as a good organizer and at the same time a great place to study. Once again, I would like to thank everyone involved in this great and beautiful project
