Technical universities are still the most popular among candidates for studies. There were 5.5 candidates per place for full-time first-cycle studies at Lodz University of Technology.
The highest number of applicants was for the Warsaw University of Technology, with 7.9 candidates per place. The second in the ranking is Gdańsk University of Technology -6.9, the third is Poznań University of Technology - 6.8. Lodz University of Technology was followed by the Stanisław Staszic University of Science and Technology in Kraków with 5.3 and the University of Wrocław with 5.0.
According to the total number of applications from candidates for a field of study, the highest number of people were interested in studying computer science with 44163, followed by psychology with 40642, management with 36532 and law with 22066. Only in fifth place was the medical faculty - 21017.
The information about this year's admissions also includes the most popular scientific disciplines to which the fields of study are assigned. Here, the first place belongs to management ang quality studies - 76,047. The second is information and communication technology - 67,524.
In the academic year 2022/2023, a total of 291,853 people were admitted to public universities, including 71,744 for second-cycle studies. 235,085 are registered in full-time studies, of which 52,028 in second-cycle studies.
