It is a new initiative at Lodz University of Technology. With the beginning of spring we want to tidy up the university campus using the users' feedback and suggestions.

Every member of the university community can join the spring cleaning campaign, as well as Lodz residents who visit the campus, for example while walking in Klepacz Park. Anyone on campus can quickly, easily and anonymously report any irregularities they notice, such as a damaged bench, damaged plants, lighting malfunction, vandalism or rubbish, to Chancellor's Maintenance Services using the free 'Mobile Alert' mobile app installed on their smartphone.

Periodic reports will be posted on the Wikamp platform so that you can check the status of your case.

The application makes it possible to send information about incidents on the campus of Lodz University of Technology, which means that it covers an area of over 80 acres. In such an area it is difficult to precisely pinpoint a location requiring service intervention by phone or e-mail. Geolocalisation technology provided by the application enables to send information about the location on the map to the system dispatcher together with a photo. In this way, the university's maintenance services can react faster. – says Professor Paweł Strumiłło, Vice-Rector for Development

With the "Mobile Alert" app, you can report any incident concerning damage to the university's infrastructure, but also incorrect parking or obstacles for the disabled. However, the app is not intended for reporting damage that has occurred inside buildings or emergencies such as fire. The app is extremely easy to use and can be installed on both iOS and Android devices. It can be downloaded at: Mobile Alert download and Mobile Alert app in the App Store (apple.com).

Making the application available to Lodz University of Technology is one of the examples of cooperation between Lodz University of Technology and technology companies as part of the ICT Central Poland Cluster, which was established and is coordinated by TUL. The solution supporting the Smart Campus idea was launched jointly with the Lodz branch of the American company Hexagon as an example of cooperation between an IT company and a university, - said Adam Owczarek, head of the University Office for Development at TUL.
