Students from the TUL Public General High School were the ones to kick-off TUL’s 31st GOCC Grand Finale fundraising drive, collecting a record amount of 22 587 zloty in auctions. More than 44 000 zloty has already been collected through the eCollection Box set up by the TUL Collection Centre.
A number of charitable auctions are being held, among them the auction to win a dinner cooking experience with TUL Rector that has been launched on Allegro. Last year, the event raised 6 100 zloty. Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik has been known for his love of cooking – one of his many pursuits. He enjoys experimenting with different flavors and savour the food he so prepares. Another auction gives benefactors the opportunity to win, just like last year, a special light display on the TME office building. In yet another one, they will have a chance to place a winning bid on the evening gown of Miss Word 2021, Karolina Bielawska, who happens to study at the Faculty of Organization and Management, TUL.
Over the coming weekend at the Mall of Manufaktura, TUL will be raising funds to buy specialized equipment for the analysis and early detection of sepsis, i.e. a cluster of symptoms caused by an uncontrolled and rapid reaction of the body to an infection. Visitors to the mall will get a chance to meet the Iron Warriors Team – a group of Lodz University of Technology students who have built and have been continually improving their special eco-friendly vehicle.
The 31st GOCC plays to the tune of 'We want to beat sepsis'. Last year, TUL's Collection Center raised a record-breaking 310 000 zloty to support the purchase of medical equipment marked with a GOCC red heart sticker.
