The 29th edition of the Technical Review Award turned out to be lucky for two winners from Lodz University of Technology. Adam Rylski, Ph.D. received the title of Golden Engineer, and student Aleksandra Bednarek was awarded the Honorary Golden Engineer award.

Eng. Adam Rylski, Ph.D., assistant professor at the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, became a Golden Engineer in the category of Science. He is the first recipient of this title at Lodz University of Technology.

Aleksandra Bednarek, student Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences TUL, received the Honorary Golden Engineer Award, given to engineers who combine their passion for science with another field of life.

Dr. Rylski's scientific work focuses on the physico-chemistry of the surface of solids and on the production by physical vapor deposition methods of thin films with special properties. For years, he has been promoting Polish innovations and inventions, especially those of students, at international exhibitions. In 2020, he was awarded the title of "Silver Engineer" by the Technical Review.

He is the recipient of many national and international awards and decorations. He is President of the Board of the Lodz Council of the Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations NOT. He is actively involved in Lodz University of Technology Alumni Association. Aleksandra Bednarek Is studying biotechnology at second-cycle studies. She is the first Polish woman with the Triple Crown in open water swimming and the world champion in ice swimming.
