The results of the annual competitions for the Award of His Magnificence Rector of the Lodz University of Technology have been announced. 

Thank you very much for all the competition entries. Sincere congratulations to the winners - said the rector, prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik.

The awards will be presented at a ceremonial session of the Senate on May 24.

The winner of the award for the best cited author in 2023 is Professor Andrzej Bartoszewicz, representing the scientific discipline of automation, electronic, electrical engineering and space technologies. The value of the award is PLN 25,000.

In the competition for the award for the author of the best scientific publications published in 2022, the winner was Professor Grażyna Budryn, representing the discipline of nutrition and food technology. The value of the award is PLN 25,000.

The winner of the competition for the youngest first author / youngest first author of a scientific publication in 2022 was Maria Brzezińska, a student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Engineering. The value of the award is PLN 10,000.

The competition for the best publishing doctoral student in 2022 was won by Michał Komar, M.Sc., representing the discipline of chemical engineering. He received a prize of PLN 10,000.

The prize for the most valuable implementation in 2022 was awarded to the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery. The value of the award is PLN 40,000.

Honors were also awarded in individual scientific disciplines. In the competition for the award for the best cited author in 2023, honorable mentions in individual disciplines were awarded:

  • in the discipline of chemical engineering - prof. dr. hab. inż. Dorota Kręgiel
  • in the discipline of nutrition and food technology - prof. dr. hab. inż. Katarzyna Sliżewska
  • in the discipline of information and communication technology - prof. dr. hab. inż. Szymon Grabowski, TUL professor.
  • in the discipline of mathematics - prof. dr hab. inż. Jacek Banasiak,
  • in the discipline of civil engineering, geodesy and transport - prof. dr. hab. Inż. Dariusz Gawin,
  • in the discipline of management and quality studies - dr. hab. Małgorzata Koszewska, TUL professor.
