The Faculty of Management and Production Engineering at Lodz University of Technology is celebrating its 30th anniversary. A number of special events are planned for Friday, 23 April.

- It is a special occasion to stop and look back at what we have achieved together. The anniversary is a time for recalling and summarising the achievements of the staff and of the students of the Faculty to date, as well as for thanking them for their contribution to its development. Each anniversary encourages reflection, but it is also a good opportunity to set new paths and directions of development, says Professor Agnieszka Zakrzewska-Bielawska, Dean of the Faculty, and invites to participate in the event.

Due to the epidemic situation and the resulting restrictions, the organisers invite everyone to remotely participate in the event and celebrate the Faculty's birthday. Individual events will be streamed on the Faculty Facebook and YouTube channel.

The meeting will be hosted by management student Kinga Baryga from the studio in the Mirror Hall of the Faculty. We will learn how the Faculty is currently perceived by its graduates, students, employers and foreign partners. We will also take a look at certified faculty laboratories.

The jubilee will include the awarding of the 500 Club prize for the best diploma dissertation and the results of other student competitions. The jubilee celebrations will conclude with a panel discussion with the participation of the Rector - Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, and Professor Jan Krysiński, former Rector and founder of the Faculty of Organisation and Management, and representatives of researchers and former authorities of the unit.

During the panel "30 years from the perspective of the university and the faculty" we will learn, among other things, what was the background for establishing this unit at Lodz University of Technology and what should be its priorities for further dynamic development today?

The organisers of the event warmly invite everyone to take part in competitions, where one can win attractive prizes, such as a set of books on logistics by Professor Andrzej Szymonik with a personalised dedication, a sushi-making course with Professor Magdalena Grębosz-Krawczyk or a "Day without queue" at the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Management and Production Engineering.
