The Students’ Self-Government of Lodz University of Technology has decided to elect the Best Teacher of the Year 2019/2020. Times are such that students and staff see each other more often through a computer screen than in person. Education, although more online, has not ceased to be a real source of acquiring knowledge and competences. The new situation requires both the teachers and the students to meet different challenges.

To make the decision easier, the organisers have uploaded guiding questions on fb:

At which of your classes did you go out three times to make tea, and at whose classes did you eagerly get out of bed? Whose voice makes you listen to it with pleasure, and whose is another lullaby? In which classes do you have your microphone on, and in which do you pretend it's broken? Who answers emails right away and is available, even on weekends?

Voting began today and will continue until Friday. This stage will determine the TOP 3 teachers from each faculty who receive the most student votes. They will proceed to the second stage, which will reveal the best of the selected three. This stage will last another week. The group of winners of the prestigious plebiscite will be announced at the end of January.
