The laureates from Lodz University of Technology will receive grants ranging from nearly PLN 32 thousand to nearly PLN 50 thousand - the maximum amount that can be received in the MINIATURE competition. Funding will go to chemists for, in general, research related to the synthesis of new dyes, the study of polymer gels, elastomer composites, or the polyphenolic composition of sugar beet leaves. Computer scientists will conduct research on wearables dedicated to seniors and on the application of virtual reality in stress reduction. The mechanical engineer will study flow disturbances in rotating systems.
The following persons will receive grants for pilot studies from Lodz University of Technology: dr inż. Aleksandra Grzelakowska, dr inż. Mirosława Prochoń and dr inż. Mateusz Imiela from the Faculty of Chemistry, dr hab. inż. Andrzej Romanowski, assoc. prof. and dr inż. Dorota Kamińska from the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering as well as dr inż. Jakub Macierzyński from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences. The financing for the internship was granted to a mathematician Marcin Rudź from the Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics.
