– I am proud that 100 percent of our employees and students use the latest technologies, which are Microsoft cloud solutions. As many as 70% of them use these solutions on a daily basis, which is much more than at other Polish universities. Thanks to this, we were able to improve the didactic process, as well as management and without any problems we were able to enter the online academic life caused by the pandemic. The effects of the digital transformation of the university can also be seen in the ability to use the latest Microsoft Office software and applications on home devices. We also use cloud platforms in research, which is a global tool and extremely effective in streamlining work, allowing innovative projects to be carried out without the limitations of space – says Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, Rector of Lodz University of Technology.
It is estimated that before 2022 there will be 6.2 million new jobs requiring knowledge of cloud technologies. By 2030, 77 percent of students will be required to have advanced technological knowledge (source: Microsoft).
