Rector Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik accepted the Made in Poland 2020 award granted to Lodz University of Technology from the President of Polska Agencja Przedsiębiorczości (PAP), Wojciech Pomarański.

- I am very happy about this award.. It is indeed a pleasant surprise for me. The award means that our pro-economic and pro-consumer projects are noticed and appreciated - said the Rector after the meeting.

For many years the PAP has been the organiser of the Made in Poland Congress, an event of great importance to the Polish economy that promotes the potential of domestic manufacturers and shows how they exert a significant influence on the development of various branches of industry.

The Made in Poland award for Lodz University of Technology was granted by the Congress Council, in recognition of the activities conducted by our university on the international arena and for the benefit of the domestic economy. What does this general statement mean?

 – The president complimented Lodz University of Technology for, among other things, numerous foreign accreditations, international cooperation programmes in the area of issues important to the economy and in the field of education. According to Wojciech Pomarański, we are a university which perfectly implements the strategy of internationalisation. The Made in Poland award is also an expression of recognition for international agreements concerning education, but also for the implementation of Polish scientific thought into the development of the global economy, - says Rector Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik.

This year's Congress is to be held on 1-2 July 2021 in Berlin. The Rector of Lodz University of Technology has been invited to deliver a lecture on opportunities for cooperation with the economy, the involvement of science in these processes, and internationalisation in research and education processes.
