Traditionally, Lodz University of Technology has joined the Wielka Orkiestra Swiątecznej Pomocy [Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity - WOSP] conducted by Jurek Owsiak. During the 29th finale, Lodz University of Technology WOSP committee collected nearly 300 thousand zlotys, which is another record of our volunteers.

Just like the whole Orchestra, every year we manage to collect more money than the year before. We are very happy that even the pandemic did not stop us from being generous and helping to provide hospitals with new equipment covered with WOŚP symbol - hearts.
This year 370 people were involved in the activities of the committee at Lodz University of Technology. Our volunteers appeared in various places in Lodz with collection boxes, starting from school children, through students to the Rector's authorities.

- Although the pandemic severely limited our activities this year, we still carried out additional activities - says Weronika Hlebowicz, the head of WOŚP office, a student of management and production engineering. - We carried out auctions. For 12 more days, you can bid for, among others, "lucky" tie of the Rector of Lodz University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, which was an item of clothing on the day of the election. On the day of the finale the whole Rector's College collected money. The mascot of the university, Leo the Lion, was also present. The Secondary School of Lodz University of Technology also organized a grand auction. It was held on Thursday before the finale and this action increased the pool of collected money by nearly 12 thousand zł.

As Weronika Hlebowicz adds:

Our Secondary School very actively joined the committee and helped to organise its work. We appreciate it very much.

Although the committee had a lot of equipment support to facilitate the work, the counting of collected money lasted until late at night.
