There will only be one stage of the LangTech 2021 language competition, conducted via the online platform of Lodz University of Technology infimat.p.lodz.pl. Students willing to participate in this event have been able to register since December 21st 2020. Registration closes on February 15th 2021. The competition will be held on March 19th 2021 (Friday) at 9.00.
By organizing the LangTech 2021 language competition, Lodz University of Technology wants to support high school students in their quest to master the English language and, by including technical vocabulary in the test, makes it possible for the participants to expand their knowledge. The knowledge of English, often called the Lingua Franca, is now indispensable for finding a job and constitutes a skill that is desirable to have independently of technical education.
The Rector of Lodz University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, under whose auspices the LangTech 2021 competition will be held, says:
The competition accords with the participants’ need to prepare for studies and, more generally, to have a good start in their future life. By encouraging high school students to compete, Lodz University of Technology wants to support them in their attempts to reach a higher level of English knowledge. At the same time, we understand young people’s ambitions to confirm their skills and follow their passions.”
