Despite the difficulties associated with the pandemic and remote teaching, the students of the Public Secondary School of Lodz University of Technology do not stop preparing for competitions and subject olympiads. Recently, the "team of chemists" under the supervision of Dr. Krzysztof Klimaszewski and Dr. Elżbieta Szubiakiewicz achieved significant success..

In the first stage of 67th Chemical Olympiad, the students took the first place in Poland as a team.

- Never before in the history of TUL Public Secondary School, students at this stage of the Olympiad have achieved such great results - says the school's headmaster, Tomasz Kozera.

Second-grade student Adam Sukiennik took first place in Poland, and this is not his first success.

- Last school year Adam was a member of the team representing Poland at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Turkey.  He was one of the youngest participants in this stage ever - adds headmaster Kozera.

As many as 10 students from our high school qualified for the second stage of the 67th Chemistry Olympiad.
This year's high school graduates - Julia Szyda took 6th place and Grzegorz Kociołek was 11th in the country. A second-grade student, Patryk Olszewski, also deserves a recognition as he came in 17th place.

- The students of our school also take an active part in other Olympiads and subject competitions, e.g. in physics, biology, English or statistics, achieving considerable successes in them as well. The preparatory work for the contests is coordinated by the teachers of our school. It turns out that a good organization of remote teaching does not result in lowering the quality of education and decreasing students' motivation to work hard - emphasizes headmaster Kozera.
