Following the popular motto of environmentalists: "Think globally, act locally", the academic community of Lodz University of Technology is already actively involved in various projects for sustainable development.
An example of fighting poverty in all its forms can be, for example, student volunteering or scientific demonstrations in orphanages. TUL students and employees organize various types of collections, and also devote their time to renovating institutions that require it, such as, for example, the Support Centre for Children and Families.
TUL scientists are working on various solutions aimed at ensuring a healthy lifestyle or high-quality education. In their research activities, they focus on obtaining clean water or cheaper, modern energy; they strive to create safe cities and also focus on gender equality. However, these are only some examples.
Flower meadow at Lodz University of Technology realized as part of the IDEA BOX project The Idea Box concept is also important, as it enables the implementation of unusual ideas for the benefit of Lodz University of Technology campus, such as a flower meadow, hedgehog houses or mini apiaries.
We encourage you to share your ideas and, at the same time, to submit initiatives for sustainable development, especially as we constantly face global climate, energy and health challenges. Let's create a better future together for us, our loved ones, for the Earth.
