As part of the competition, applications prepared by representatives of disciplines will be analyzed, which are to indicate the relationship between the conducted research and, for example, the quality of life of various groups of people, the development of the economy, the development of culture or the state of the natural environment.

In Criterion III, the so-called "Individual case studies" should be described, which is intended to allow an objective assessment of the presented description of the impact of research activities.

The descriptions should be submitted until June 30 this year via e-mail to the address of the University Development Department - the unit coordinating the competition - rozwoj@adm.p.lodz.pl.

In 2022, the evaluation of scientific disciplines is planned at Polish universities. The activities proposed under this competition are, on the one hand, intended to support TUL employees in their work on the preparation of impact descriptions for evaluation purposes, and on the other hand, to highlight scientific achievements serving the society and economy.

The aim of the competition is to select 3 best descriptions of research achievements in scientific disciplines evaluated at Lodz University of Technology, in which their impact on the functioning of the society and economy is best documented. The winning studies will be model examples of how to prepare applications for the evaluation of scientific disciplines according to Criterion III

- says Prof. Paweł Strumiłło, Vice-Rector for Development, describing the idea behind the announcement of the competition.
