Prof. Jacek Ulański, (discipline: chemical sciences, Web of Science Core Collection: h-index - 31, number of publications 2013-2021 - 48, number of citations for publications 2013-2021 - 4 056. SciVal: Output in 10% Citation Percentiles (%) - 11%).

Prof Ulański's research interests are in the field of physics, physicochemistry and material engineering of molecular crystals, polymers and nanocomposites, in particular the dielectric, electrical and optical properties of these materials.

In the field of applied research, the most important achievements concern the development of new optoelectronic materials and new methods of manufacturing organic electronic components.

Prof. Ulański founded the Department of Molecular Physics at the Faculty of Chemistry, TUL, which he headed from 1999 to 2021. The KFM Organic Electronics Laboratory is one of the best equipped laboratories of its kind in Poland.

 

Has been invited as visiting professor by a number of distinguished universities and scientific institutes in Japan, France, Germany and Belgium.

Manager of numerous research projects funded by National Science Centre and National Centre for Research and Development; recipient of a Foundation for Polish Science Master subsidy.

Coordinator of platforms and tasks in a number of projects funded by the European Commission, and in bilateral projects with France, Spain, Germany and the Czech Republic. Co-organiser of the European Centre for Nanostructured Polymers, and the ICRI-BioM International Research Agenda.

For several years, he has been an expert of the European Commission appointed to evaluate scientific projects.

He has been repeatedly awarded for his scientific activity; he is, among others, the winner of the Team Prize of the City of Lodz (2020), the Prize of the Rector of Lodz University of Technology for the highest number of citations (2019), and the Prize of the Minister of Science and Higher Education (2018); in 2017 he was awarded the Knight's Cross Order of Polonia Restituta.
