Students at Lodz University of Technology can apply for material assistance in the form of:

  • maintenance grant, 
  • scholarship for persons with disabilities;
  • special assistance grant,
  • Rector's scholarship.

Maintenance grant may be granted to a student in a difficult financial situation, whose monthly net income per family member does not exceed the amount specified in a separate Announcement on the amount of individual types of benefits agreed with the Student Government.

In particularly justified cases, a student may receive a maintenance grant in an increased amount.

Scholarship for people with disabilities may be awarded to a student who has a disability certificate, a certificate of the degree of disability, or a certificate referred to in Article 5 and Article 62 of the Act of August 27, 1997, on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled persons.

The amount of the scholarship depends on the degree of disability.

Special assistance grant can be received by a student who has temporarily found themselves in a difficult life situation.

Rector's scholarship for students can be received by a student who has achieved outstanding academic results, has scientific or artistic achievements, or sports achievements in competition at least at the national level.

The scholarship can be received by:

  1. student admitted to the first year of studies in the year of taking the Matura exam, who meets at least one of the following conditions:
    • is a laureate of an international olympiad or a laureate or finalist of a central level olympiad, as mentioned in the regulations on the education system,
    • is a current medalist of at least a sports competition for the title of Polish Champion in a given sport, as mentioned in the provisions of the Sports Act;
  2. a first-year second-cycle student who achieved outstanding academic results during their first-cycle studies;
  3. student of the 3rd semester and higher semesters of the first-cycle studies and a student of the 2nd semester and higher semesters of the second-cycle studies, who in the previous semester (preceding the submission of the application) had scientific or artistic achievements, or sports achievements in competition at least at the national level, assessed according to the rules described in the Regulations.

NOTICE: transitional provision: in the winter semester of the academic year 2024/2025, students demonstrate achievements and the average grades obtained in the previous academic year. In turn, from the summer semester of 2024/2025, students will demonstrate achievements and grade point averages obtained in the previous semester.

The amounts of scholarships have been shown in the Announcement on the amounts of various types of benefits for students of Lodz University of Technology in the winter semester of the academic year 2024/25.

From the academic year 2024/2025, the Rector's scholarship, maintenance grant, and disability scholarships are awarded on a semester basis, i.e., per semester.

We remind you that applications for material assistance should be generated through Webdziekanat and delivered within the designated deadlines and locations in accordance with the procedures described in the Announcement regarding the modes, forms, and deadlines for submitting applications for material assistance for TUL students in the academic year 2024/25.
