The Jagiellonian University's Collegium Novum (18.05) held a gala presenting awards to representatives of universities who were promoted in the last edition of Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. A special diploma for Lodz University of Technology for its significant rise in the ranking was collected by Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, Rector of Lodz University of Technology.

Lodz University of Technology as one of two Polish universities advanced in the general classification to the range 601-800 and was thus ranked among the national top. In the same range are still only the Universities of Gdańsk and Warsaw and the Gdańsk University of Technology. We were classified in five categories and advanced in three. Lodz University of Technology received the highest rating for its actions towards the implementation of Goal 8. Economic growth and decent work, this time entering the world TOP 200 and taking the first place in the country. The first place among Polish universities TUL was also ranked in goal17. Partnership for goals, while also ranking in the world's TOP 300. In Goal 9 - Innovation, industry, infrastructure, we are in the TOP 400, explained the Rector explaining the high position of TUL in the ranking.

THE Impact Rankings is a ranking of universities based on the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. For the first time in the history of the ranking, the awards gala took place in Poland and was the highlight of the first edition of the international conference ScienceCon 2022, organized by PCG Academia, Elsevier and Times Higher Education.
