The results of the 3rd edition of the Ministry of Education and Science programme 'Student Research Clubs Create Innovations' have been announced. Among the 174 teams awarded, there are seven research clubs from Lodz University of Technology.

  • The UbiCOMP research club received the maximum amount of PLN 70,000 for the project” The use of gestures to control mobile robots in an urban environment in conditions of limited visibility".

  • The "Momencik" research club received over PLN 66,000 for the project "Bionics-inspired raster ceilings – design, numerical and experimental analysis, taking into account dynamic properties and air circulation".

  • Almost PLN 65,000 went to the Motor Enthusiasts club for "Modernization of the electric system of the Eco Arrow 3.1 racing car competing in the international Shell Eco-Marathon Competition".

  • The research club Robotycy received PLN 60,000 for "Innovative system of neutralization of enemy drones".

  • The research club NANO for almost PLN 58,000 will implement the project "Automation and modification of the synthesis process of environmentally friendly hydrogels intended for the capture of heavy metals from water".

  • The research club Energetycy received PLN 55,000 for the "GUST – Generative Urban Small Turbine" project.

  • Almost PLN 50,000 was awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science to the Biotechnologists Research Club 'FERMENT' for the 'Metagenomic analysis of bacterial endophytes found in the stinging nettle (Urtica dioica L.)'.

The programme aims to help research clubs operating at universities to carry out innovative projects. It also serves to improve the quality of the activities of these clubs and the mechanism for transferring new technologies to the economy.
