Skorupki Street next to the Lodz Archcathedral was renovated several years ago. However, the section between Wólczańska and Stefanowskiego Streets still needs reconstruction. This will now change.

The renovation of Skorupki Street is a continuation of the previous winning projects we submitted to the ŁBO. Thanks to them, Stefanowskiego Street, which is the link between campuses A and B, was renovated and the section starting from Radwańska Street took on the form of a woonerf. This year's project required a great deal of commitment, especially in terms of arrangements with the Roads and Transport Authority of the Municipality of Łódź. We are all the more pleased that we were able to put the proposal to a vote within the framework of neighbourhood activities and obtain a sufficient number of votes for its implementation.

– said Adam Owczarek, the head of TUL's University Development Department and the first project leader.

Thanks to the commitment of the TUL academic community and funding from the Citizens’ Budget, a green alley with additional new lighting will be created.

As students from the CIRKULA club, which prepared the project, we are extremely pleased that the university community has once again helped us to win. We are happy to be able to contribute to positive changes in the immediate vicinity of the university for the benefit of its students, staff and local residents. We look forward to the rapid greening of Skorupki Street and further joint projects in the future.

– added Wojciech Dolecki, the chairman of the Spatial Management Student Research Group 'Cirkula', a student at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Engineering at TUL, and at the same time the second project leader.

Renovation work on Skorupki Street should begin in the second half of next year and be completed in December 2023.
