Ombudsmen for Equality– are individuals whose task it is to support the academic community in matters of unequal treatment and attempt to resolve conflict cases amicably, and to receive and refer reports to the Anti-Discrimination and Mobbing Committee.

Their duties include:

acting as consultants and contact persons in the unit in matters of discrimination, including harassment and mobbing, as well as mobbing-related acts;
attempting to resolve conflict cases amicably at an early stage of their occurrence;
informing the employee of their options for resolving the matter;
accepting reports and referring them to the Anti-Discrimination and Mobbing Committee, with the written consent of the complainant;
disseminating good practice on equality measures;
attending training and maintaining contact with their counterparts in other units;
attending recruitment interviews to which they have received an invitation from the Head of the Recruitment Committee.

Employees, doctoral students and students may contact the Equality Ombudsmen with any matter of discrimination, mobbing or harassment, and may also submit a written report to the Anti-Discrimination and Mobbing Committee through them.

The Ombudsmen for Equality are committed to objectivity and impartiality in their actions and to maintaining the confidentiality of cases presented to them.
