Wiartel – a village in Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, located ca. 9 km from Pisz and 12 km from Ruciane-Nida, by the Lake Wiartel, at the heart of Puszcza Piska (the Pisz Forest). There are a lot of lovely spots in the area, where one can undertake active recreation and go on excursions (e.g. to visit Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński Museum in Pranie by the Nidzkie Lake, where the famous Polish poet would go and write). The main attractions offered to visitors include Nordic walking, angling, sailing, mushrooming, bike riding or relaxing by the lake. The peaceful village lets one rest from the hustle and bustle of the city and admire wild Masurian nature.
“Niespodzianka" is an ideal place for those who are looking for peace and quiet. The center is situated by the access road (from Pisz), by a forest, around 200 m from the Wiartel Lake. It is a new two-storey brick building (put into service in 2014) with an electrical heating system, offering 27 beds in 2, 3 and 4-person rooms equipped with bathrooms. There is Wi-Fi in the building, as well as a TV set in each room. Guests may use a fully-furnished kitchen area, a dining room and a spacious lounge with a fireplace, including a play area for children. In the summer, tables with benches are placed outside for guests, alongside with an outdoor playground for the youngest visitors.
"Niespodzianka" Recreational Resort of Lodz University of Technology welcomes visitors all year round. During the summer holiday season, stays are organized for fixed periods, while individual visitors and groups may also come during the rest of the year (upon agreement with the Social Affairs Office of Lodz University of Technology.
