Lodz University of Technology has traditionally played in the Orchestra conducted by Jurek Owsiak. During the 30th finale, Lodz University of Technology WOŚP Staff collected a record amount of PLN 310 thousand. It is PLN 10 thousand more than last year. The youngest volunteer, Wojtuś, registered at the TUL Staff was just a few months old - he was born in July 2021.
A team of researchers from Lodz University of Technology, under the direction of Professor Grażyna Budryn, has developed an innovative technology for obtaining durable biodegradable foil based on starch. An example is Beata Rurarz, the president of the Choir, who does her doctorate with flying colours, because without music she cannot even imagine counting. In the 12th edition of the LEADER Programme, the National Centre for Research and Development awarded nearly PLN 3 million in research funding to two young researchers from Lodz University of Technology: Dr Sylwester Pawęta from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Eng. Bartłomiej Cybulski, MSc from the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering.
Prof. Joanna Kałużna-Czaplińska from the Faculty of Chemistry at TUL, was this year's winner of the Prof. Andrzej Waksmundzki Medal, the founder of Polish chromatography. This is the highest distinction awarded by the Committee of Analytical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
