112 first-year students began their education at the Public Secondary School of Lodz University of Technology. In the assembly hall named after Prof. Andrzej Sołtan (4.09), the first-year students took the solemn oath in the presence of the university authorities: the Rector of Lodz University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, and the Vice-Rectors: Prof. Łukasz Albrecht and Prof. Andrzej Romanowski.

Lodz University of Technology's Raptors team proved once again that they are more than capable of building Martian rovers and tackling tasks that might befall colonists of extraterrestrial planets. The team returned from the International Rover Challenge in Canada, which was in every way highly demanding, with the third prize.

The founders' meeting of the Employers' Association of Innovative, Consulting and Development Companies 'INDORO' was held today (21 August) at Lodz University of Technology. The International Cooperation Centre of TUL, thanks to the NAWA - National Agency for Academic Exchange, under the 'Strategic Partnerships' programme, is implementing a new stage of the project 'ActiveD2-Active Double Degree - Implementation of a joint degree model based on active teaching and learning methods'. One of its tasks is participation in study visits, during which students from our university carry out process and technology audits in France, while students from the partner university in&ma (École Supérieure de la Performance) visit companies in Poland. Two of the four trips planned as part of the project have already taken place.
