Fields of study of the future in the “Dziewczyny na politechniki” campaign Lodz University of Technology, as a partner of the event, traditionally joins the campaign "Dziewczyny na politechniki". This year, the project is held under the slogan "Fields of study of the future". In addition to discussions on the mentioned fields of study, the programme includes workshops and exclusive meetings with female students, who will act as mentors and advisors in choosing a career path.

Professor Jerzy Wojewoda is a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Lodz University of Technology (1980). He specialises in research into the behaviour of non-linear systems, especially in the mechanical systems vibration.

Professor Piotr Kula - a graduate from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, TUL; Author of innovative technologies e.g. of vacuum carburization of steel to harden its surface, and the new, super-strong, single-layer material - High Strength Metallurgical Graphene (HSMG).

In the Polish Radio "INNOVATIONS 2021" ranking, promoting innovative projects, products and services developed by universities and companies, the second place in the best ecological solution category was taken by biodegradable masks from TUL.

Professor Jan Awrejcewicz has received an honorary doctorate degree from the Prydniprovsky State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (PSACEA) in Ukraine. This is the first TUL honorary doctorate degree conferred in an online ceremony.

Aleksandra Wilczyńska began her studies in IT, but since childhood she has been passionate about space. Together with a group of students from the Innspace team, she created a project of a base on the Moon, which took 4th place in the international Moon Base Deisgn Contest organized by the Moon Society from the USA.

Increasing interaction and relations between the lecturer and the student, as well as increasing motivation during online learning, are the main objectives of a project which received EUR 300 000 in funding. This is the highest amount awarded in the Erasmus+ programme.

Another edition of the oldest festival in Lodz and one of the biggest tourist song reviews in Poland is behind us. For the second time the YAPA fans met online. Preliminary statistics show that this year's edition was viewed by over 13 thousand people from all over Poland.

Lodz University of Technology along with BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego Sp. z o.o. have completed the first cycle of mechatronics studies, conducted in a form that allows gaining professional experience directly in the company already during education. The first defence of engineering theses confirmed the advantages and desirability of dual education.
